This article is an update of another by the same author entitled, “Oil production capacity experience has implications for Iraq” (OGJ, Nov. 3, 2003, p. 20). The earlier article was, given the time of its writing, prophetic in many ways. This article incorporates Iraq’s experience in oil production capacity building since 2003 and adds Nigeria.
